The Cherokee Indian Reservation is located in western North Carolina and is home to 12,500 enrolled members. We are adjacent to both the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway.
The Great Smokies cover the seven westernmost counties in North Carolina including Cherokee, with the northern fringe of the Smokies in Tennessee. Also, sixty percent of the National Park is in North Carolina...so Cherokee is the ideal headquarters for a real Smokies vacation.
